Type locality. Mangaratiba, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Bionomics. Almost nothing is known about the bionomics of this species, because it is known only from the type specimens that were collected during the nationwide entomological investigations of sylvatic YFV transmission in April and May 1938. The collection methods are not known (Nascimento-Pereira et al. 2021).
