Genus Aotearoa n. gen
Diagnosis: Body cuneate, without tentacles. Rows of marginal eyes completely encircling; frontal eyes spreading from behind the cerebral organ anteriorly; tentacular eyes present. The pharynx occupies the middle half of the body. Male and female complexes are located near the posterior margin with a common gonopore; sperm ducts unite to form the ejaculatory duct; seminal vesicle and spermiducal bulbs absent. Prostatic vesicle is cylindrical with a smooth lining. Prostatic duct joins the ejaculatory duct entering the blunt conical penis; penis stylet absent. Vagina forms a posterior loop ending in a ductus vaginalis; Lang’s vesicle absent.
