CHOROTYPE. — Centralasiatic-European.

ECOLOGY. — Natural and semi-natural open herbaceous areas. Euryoecious species that occurs in meadows, woodland clearings and subalpine slopes (Naumann et al. 1999). Known lhp belong to the genus Astragalus .
