Subgenus Callyspongia (Cladochalina) Schmidt, 1870

Definition. Callyspongia with ectosomal network with three sizes of mesh around terminal ends of primary fibres largely spread on the surface. Multispicular primary fibres well defined, always fasciculated, and ramified to form a choanosomal tertiary network of fine fibres always present. Spongin sheath clearly visible. Conulose surface.
