Remarks: There is only one known species of the genus in the Holarctic: F. onychiurina Denis, 1931, originally described from Costa Rica. It is “widely distributed all over the tropics… recorded in Nepal, Japan, southern provinces of China and Europe” (Potapov 2001, p. 265) and rather common in the USA (Christiansen & Bellinger 1980, 1998). Its presence in southern parts of Canada, especially in artificial substrata, is plausible.
