Remarks: Published records of B. tuberculata are restricted to Europe and North America, but “the identity of these [American] specimens with the European species is uncertain” (Christiansen & Bellinger 1980, p. 599). Much more work is needed to establish a real relationship between Palaearctic and Nearctic forms.
