* A. laricis Nicolet, 1842

– Anurophorus laricis Nicolet, 1842: 53

NU Mills & Richards 1953

MB McClure 1943; Hammer 1953

ON James 1933; Maynard 1951

Remarks: This species is thought to have a strictly European distributional range and “the Middle Volga (Volzhsko-Kamsky Reserve) marks the eastern limit of this species expansion” (Potapov 1997, p. 32). Christiansen & Bellinger (1980) also did not include the species in their key. For these reasons, the above Canadian records appear to be erroneous and probably refer to other species with reduced empodial appendages.

General distribution: Europe.
