Remarks: The existence of the species in the Eastern Palaearctic (Japan) is based on Christiansen & Bellinger’s remark (1980, p. 258) that they “have examined specimens of O. similis Yosii, 1954, and can find no differences between this species and O. cornifer ”. General distribution: Nearctic and Eastern Palaearctic.
