Remarks: The date of the species description is given as 1897 on www. collembola .org, although all other species described in the same paper are attributed to 1896. According to Christiansen & Bellinger (1980), American records of this species are uncertain and probably belong to a number of different congeners.

General distribution: potentially Holarctic, but further differentiation of congeners is needed.
