Remarks: Most probably, all these Nearctic records of the species are erroneous and belong to a number of recently described congeners. As Christiansen & Bellinger added in the second edition of CONANRG (1998, p. 479), “ Weiner & Fjellberg (1994) have redescribed sibiricus from types and the Nearctic material appears to be different”.
General distribution: reliable records of the species are now restricted to the northern regions of the mid- Palaearctic (from the Pechora River basin to the Taimyr Peninsula).
