H. serrata (Ågren, 1904)
– Achorutes serratus Ågren, 1904: 5
– Hypogastrura ripperi Gisin, 1952: 1
AK Fjellberg 1985; Skidmore 1995 both as ripperi
AB Lindo 2014 as ripperi, based on personal observation of D. Johnson
Remarks: Here we use the name H. serrata in Fjellberg’s understanding (1998) as a senior synonym of H. ripperi .
General distribution: a widespread Palaearctic compost form probably introduced to Nearctic. In Alaska it was “found once in a compost heap at Fairbanks, in company with H. distincta and Proisotoma minuta ” (Fjellberg 1985, p. 28) .
