Remarks: The presence of this species in the Nearctic is questionable and a number of various forms may be involved. The Alaskan record of the species is based on Fjellberg (1985) who listed an “unspecified member of the trybomi group” for the region; later this species was described as H. fjellbergi . Hammer’s redescription of H. trybomi from Reindeer Station (NT) “comes rather close to oregonensis ” (Fjellberg 1985, p. 30). Records from Canadian Arctic Archipelago, such as McAlpine’s (1964, 1965), most probably refer to H. sensilis (see Fjellberg 1986; Babenko 2018).

General distribution: all reliable records of the species still belong to the Northern Palaearctic.
