Habitat. Intertidal to shallow waters, among coral rubble, algae (San Martín et al. 2008a) and sponges (Álvarez-Campos et al. 2012).
Distribution. Australia (Central Western Australia), southern Japan (San Martín et al. 2008a), Indonesia (Aguado et al. 2008), Philippines (Álvarez-Campos et al. 2012), Red Sea (Abd- Elnaby 2019). First record for East Timor.
