Material examined. EAST TIMOR. East of Metinaro, Secret Garden reef, 08°29’15”S 125°49’53”E, tufts of red algae, 20 m depth, 22 Sep 2012, coll. L.E. Hughes, 3 spec. (AM W.45800) .

Habitat. In amongst dead coral, algae, in shallow waters (Álvarez-Campos et al. 2015a).

Distribution. Australia (Western Australia, Queensland; Álvarez-Campos e t al. 2015a), Japan, Indonesia (Aguado et al. 2008). First record for East Timor.
