The genus can be recognized by having the mandibular plates outlined in black, and longer than the clypeus; the apex of the scutellum is smooth; the posterolateral angles of the pygophore have bristle tufts, the gonocoxite VIII is swollen along sutural margin, the posterior margin of gonocoxites VIII is concave; and the laterotergites VIII are angulate (BarĂ£o et al. 2020).
