Dryptocephala lurida Erichson, 1848

Distribution. Colombia, Guyana, Brazil, and Argentina.

Distribution in Colombia. Unknown. This species was recorded for Colombia by Ruckes (1966c), but the specimen examined is without specific locality.

Remarks. Dryptocephala lurida has the apex of the anteocular process not reaching the middle of the margin of the mandibular plates, the anterior apical pronotal angles are sub-obtuse, barely reaching a line drawn through the eyes.
