Lectotype (Greuter in Strid & Kit Tan, Fl. Hellenica 1: 251. 1997): Herb. Clifford: 171, Silene 2 (BM-000628521) .

Current name: Silene viridiflora L. ( Caryophyllaceae).

Note: Jeanmonod (in Candollea 40: 16. 1985) indicated Herb. Linn. 183.3 (S) as the holotype but the sheet is unannotated by Linnaeus and is not original material for the name.
