Generitype of Salvadora Linnaeus.

Current name: Salvadora persica L. ( Salvadoraceae).

Note: Verdcourt (in Kew Bull. 14: 150. 1964) provided an extensive discussion and reluctantly designated 164.1 (LINN), a post-1753 addition to the herbarium, as lectotype. It was not original material for the name, and Riedl subsequently designated Garcin material (G) as lectotype.
