Note: An illegitimate replacement name for Memecylon umbellatum Burm. f. (1768) [ “Menecyclon”]. However, Embelia laeta (L.) Mez is a name in use (e.g. by Pipoly & Chen in Novon 5: 358. 1995) so there may be a case for the conservation of the Linnaean name.
