Lectotype (Verdcourt in Dassanayake & al., Revised Handb. Fl. Ceylon 9: 434. 1995): Herb. Hermann 2: 42, No. 350 (BM-000594604) .

Current name: Sterculia balanghas L. ( Sterculiaceae).

Note: Tantra (in Pengum. Lemb. Lemb. Penelitian Kehut. 102: 141. 1976) discussed the Hermann material and the Rheede plate, treating them both as the type.
