Genus Lundiella Carvalho

Type species: Lundiella pertingens Distant, 1893 . Original designation. Lundiella: Carvalho 1951B:132 (new genus); Carvalho 1957:87 (catalog); Carvalho & Capriles 1982:55 (key to species).

Diagnosis. Body with long and erect pubescence. Embolium broadened and laminated towards the base. Cuneus declivous with external margin roundish; cuneal fracture with deep incisure; hemelytron membrane densely pubescent. (Carvalho 1951 B; Carvalho & Capriles 1982).

Remarks. The genus displays sexual differences in antennal segment II in being incrassate toward the apex in males and thickened only on the apical half in females. The body color varies from light brown to black. Although some morphological characters can help to distinguish between L. reinhardti and L. rubra, the most accurate identification is based on the differences between the male genitalic characters.
