Diagnosis. Body pilosity with fine hairs sometimes curved apically, occasionally forming dense woolly pilosity; pronotum smooth or indistinctly punctate, usually with exudation of white wax; anterior margin of pronotum extended over head as seen from the side (Ferreira 2001).
