Eccritotarsus orchidearum Reuter 1902:157; Carvalho, 1951B: 296 (review, new combination).
Diagnosis. General color red, with extensive metallic-blue or black areas. Pronotum and head reddish, and the eyes black. Hemelytron with clavus and corium metallic blue with a translucent red border; embolium and cuneus reddish. Membrane fuscous within areoles. (Ferreira & Henry 2011). Male genitalia as Figure 11-S.
Plant Associations. Amaryllidaceae: Hippeastrum sp. (Nogueira et al. 2019A); Orchidaceae: Cattleya aclandiae Lindl., Cattleya labiate Lindl. (Ferreira & Rossi 1979; Ferreira et al. 2001), Cattleya perrinii Lindl., and Laelia perrinii Bateman (Ferreira et al. 2001) .
Distribution. Brazil: Espírito Santo * (Guarapari: State Park Paulo César Vinha), Minas Gerais, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, São Paulo, (Carvalho 1957; Ferreira et al. 2006; Nogueira et al. 2019A).
