Comments.

The original description indicates that this species is rugose, and separately states "Abdomen rugose", leading us to believe that the former refers to the head or mesosoma. Masner (1976) commented that it "runs to Gryon floridanus -Ashmead group yet of much finer sculpture" and Masner (1979) placed this species in the Gryon variicornis species group, which we consider to belong in Hadronotus .
