Remarks. Originally described as Hyptiasmus (Hyptiasmus) brumpti Dollfus, 1948 . The vitelline fields were poorly developed in the material of Dollfus (1948) and it is not clear if they are confluent or not posteriorly. They are currently thought to be confluent and therefore this species is tentatively assigned to Hyptiasmus; however, if they are not confluent posteriorly, then this species would be assigned to Prohyptiasmus . We recommend that specimens in Hyptiasminae in which the genital pore is prepharyngeal, be compared to species of both Hyptiasmus and Prohyptiasmus for identification purposes. It was considered to be a synonym of Cyclocoelum (Hyptiasmus) oculeus (Kossack, 1911) by Dubois (1959). Rudimentary oral and ventral suckers present—Dubois (1948) and Bashkirova (1950).
