Contracoelum skrjabinianum Witenberg, 1926 — Type and only species

Type host. Glossy ibis, Plegadis falcinellus Linnaeus ( Pelecaniformes: Threskiornithidae)— Chertkova et al. (1994).

Type locality. Armenia; specific type locality unknown—Chertkova et al. (1994).

Remarks. Dubois (1959) considered this to be a species of Ophthalmophagus . Joyeux & Baer (1927), Kanev et al. (2002a) and Dronen (2007a) considered Contracoelum to be synonymous with Spaniometra. No oral or ventral sucker described—Witenberg (1926); Bashkirova (1950).
