Type locality and habitat.
Spain, Canary Islands, Tenerife Island, Punta del Diablo (Teno), from soil and litter of Cheirolophus burchardii (as Cheirolophus canariensis subsp. subexpinnatus) ( Asteraceae) and Euphorbia aphylla ( Euphorbiaceae).
Comparative material.
Spain: 2 ♀♀ (MZNA: 443694, holotype; MZNA: 443695, paratype) - 8. 12. 1995, Islas Canarias, Tenerife, Punta del Diablo (Teno), Altitud 200 m, UTM: 28RCS 141 384 .
Remarks.
Moraza (2006) added complete leg chaetotaxy to the description of Ameroseius michaelangeli . According to her original data, genu and tibia of legs IV would have one anterolateral seta and two posterolaterals, but in the type specimens I found the typical two anterolaterals and one posterolateral seta instead (including some other slight differences in leg chaetotaxy, as detected by a comparison with data presented in Table 1 and in the original description).
