Distribution: Mexico, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama, Colombia, Brazil (PA, RJ, new rec.), Bolivia. Remarks: The lack of abundant, coarse punctures on the impressed line and on the lateral surface of the pronotum, head and scutellum (Fig. 9A) separates this species from E. rugoscutum (Fig. 9B).
