Distribution: Uncertain status but apparently rare (Fig. 50).
Previous records: Known largely from owl pellets collected from north of Idleb, Qal’at Al-Hosson, retrieved from several archaeological sites along the Syrian coast (Shehab 2002).
Recent record: ash-Sheikh Badr (2019).
