62. Geoffroy’s Myotis, Myotis emarginatus (Geoffroy, 1806)

Subspecies: M. e. emarginatus (Geoffroy, 1806) .

Distribution: Uncommon; in the mountains west of Aleppo and in the coastal region (Fig. 69).

Previous records: Ras Al-Baseet (Benda 1996), Qal’at Salah ad-Din, ar-Rawda near Rabi’ah, Ras Al-Baseet, Qal’at Samaan, and Mount Hermon (Benda et al. 2006), Qal’at Samaan and Qal’at Salah ad-Din (Shehab et al. 2007).

Remarks: The taxonomy of this species was recently revised by Benda & Uvizl (2021).
