Subspecies: Monotypic species.

Distribution: Rare; confined to the mountain habitats of the coastal and southwestern regions (Fig. 70).

Previous records: Qal’at Salah ad-Din, Tell Shhab, Serghaya, Yabroud, Qal’at Al-Marqab, and Mount Hermon (Benda et al. 2006).

Remarks: The taxonomic affiliations of the Middle Eastern populations of the M. nattereri morpho-group were revised by Çoraman et al. (2019) and Uvizl & Benda (2021).
