Stephanoscyphistoma corniformis (Komai, 1936)

Remarks: a species of coronate polyp with no link as yet to any medusa species. Several species might be hidden under this name, probably belonging to the genera Atorella or Nausithoe (Morandini & Jarms 2005) . Distribution in South America: polyp—Atlantic Ocean, southeastern coast of Brazil (Silveira & Morandini 1996; Silveira & Morandini 2011).

Habitat: benthic, usually associated with calcareous substrata (Silveira & Morandini 1996).
