Distribution: India (Karnataka, Maharashtra, Punjab), Sri Lanka (Fletcher 1931); Ethiopia, Iran, Kenya, Madagascar, Nepal, Swaziland, Tanzania, United Arab Emirates.

Host: Larvae feed on Anarcardium occidentale (Fletcher 1931), Oryza sativa (Poaceae), and many Fabaceae, including the fruit of Caesalpinia, flower buds, seeds, pods of Cajanus cajan and Lablab purpureus, seeds of Dolichos, and Vigna mungo .
