Additional notes: Six slides with one specimen each with identical label data and one slide with two specimens. Given that the typed “ paratype ” has been crossed out in pencil and replaced with “ syntype ”, the identity of these slides as syntypes is somewhat dubious. ECP has also examined photographs of the four slides with the same label data in the Bohart collection at UC Davis (where most of Ferris’s collection and type material was deposited) but they are not labeled as type material and the handwriting differs from the slides deposited at FSCA. Further, we have an additional four specimens on two slides with the same label data in the main collection not labeled as type material.
