Variation. Malar space pale yellow (vs. blackish); pronotal collar with interrupted pale yellow stripe (vs. complete); hind tibia dark brown, basal 0.2 whitish (vs. brownish yellow, apically darkened).
Comments. This species departs from the typical morphological pattern of Agonocryptus, especially due to the distinctly elongate and slender mesosome and metasoma, and the rectangular areolet, among other features. However, combined molecular and morphological analyzes (Santos & Aguiar, in preparation) consistently recover this species within Agonocryptus .
Distribution. Brazil NR (Espírito Santo), and Mexico (Fig. 18G).
