Comments. All key synapomorphies of Microperus are present, and the species was placed in Microperus with 100% posterior probablility within the phylogeny (Cognato et al., 2011). It is one of the smallest Microperus (1.1–1.6 mm), with antennal club type 3, flat elytral disc, and without spines or rugosities on elytrae except a few granules on declivity (which may be absent).
