Apalocnemis circumspinosa Collin, 1933: 75 (in key), 88–90, fig. 16f (des.).

Syntypes. Two males and four females (NHMUK), one male (USNM), Argentina: Bariloche, Lake Gutierrez, Puerto Blest. Chile: Lake Yuvin .

Distribution. Argentina: Río Negro Province (Bariloche, Lago Gutiérrez, Puerto Blest); Tierra del Fuego,Antártida e Islas del Atlántico Sur (Lago Yuvin; see note).

Remarks. Collin (1933) cited Lake Yuvin as a locality in South Chile, but this lake is located in Argentina, near the Chilean border and the species probably also occurs in Chile (Table 1).
