Current name: Colocasia esculenta (L.) Schott ( Araceae).

Note: Bogner (in Leroy, Fl. Madagascar 31: 32. 1975) indicated 1079.5 (LINN) as type but this collection was received by Linnaeus long after 1753 and is not original material for the name.
