Current name: Aspalathus aspalathoides (L.) Rothm. ( Fabaceae: Faboideae).

Note: As noted by Dahlgren (in Opera Bot. 4: 114. 1960) and Nordenstam (in Bot. Not. 114: 278. 1961), this is a later homonym of A. lotoides L. (1753), and therefore illegitimate. In 1759, Linnaeus published A. aspalathoides as a nomen novum for A. lotoides L. (1756) .
