Current name: Polypogon monspeliensis (L.) Desf. ( Poaceae).

Note: Although Hubbard (in Milne-Redhead & Polhill, Fl. Trop. E. Africa, Gramineae 1: 100. 1970) indicated unspecified material at LINN as type, the two sheets (82.6 and 82.7) which could have been intended are clearly not part of a single gathering, so Art. 9.15 does not apply. Although Scholz, in typifying the name, stated that he was restricting Hubbard’s earlier choice, the typification is solely Scholz’s .
