Generitype of Allamanda Linnaeus.

Current name: Allamanda cathartica L. ( Apocynaceae).

Note: Linnaeus spelled the generic name “Allamanda” in Mant. Pl. Altera: 146, where its description appears, but on p. 214 of the same work, A. cathartica was described, with the genus spelled “Allemanda” .
