Aegilops incurvata Linnaeus, Species Plantarum, ed. 2, 2: 1490. 1763, orth. var.
"Habitat in Angliae, Hispaniae, Italiae paludibus maritimis." RCN: 7594.
Neotype (Cuccuini in Cafferty & al. in Taxon 49: 242. 2000): Herb. Linn. No. 1218.11 (LINN) .
Current name: Parapholis incurva (L.) C.E. Hubb. ( Poaceae).
Note: Rather than treat this as an illegitimate replacement name for A. incurva L. (1753), it seems preferable to regard it as an orthographic variant. Aegilops incurvata included the elements originally included in Nardus articulata L. (1753), the latter name having been placed into the synonymy of A. incurva by Linnaeus in 1759.
