Current name: Ageratina altissima (L.) R.M. King & H. Rob. ( Asteraceae).

Note: Clewell & Wooten (in Brittonia 23: 133-134. 1971) claimed the name was “based” on the cited reference from Cornut (1635), but as these authors discussed only some of the other possible elements and did not use the term type or an equivalent, this does not constitute effective typification.
