Arabis turrita Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 2: 665. 1753.

"Habitat in Helvetia, Hungaria, Gallia, Sicilia." RCN: 4844.

Lectotype (Al-Shehbaz & Turland in Cafferty & Jarvis in Taxon 51: 531. 2002): [icon] "Brassica syl. albido flore nutante siliqua" in Boccone, Mus. Piante Rar. Sicilia: 81, t. 72. 1697. - Epitype (Al-Shehbaz & Turland in Cafferty & Jarvis in Taxon 51: 531. 2002): Italy. Toscana, La Verna, 27 May 1956, Corradi s.n. (FI).

Current name: Pseudoturritis turrita (L.) Al-Shehbaz ( Brassicaceae).

Note: Although Talavera & Velayos (in Anales Jard. Bot. Madrid 50: 147. 1992) designated 842.14 (LINN) as lectotype, the sheet lacks the Species Plantarum number (i.e. “7”) and was evidently a post-1753 addition to the collection and not original material for the name.
