Notes. Castagnoli & Pegazzano (1985: 48) referred to an undescribed species represented by a specimen in the Berlese Acaroteca, as Pachylaelaps brachiosus Berlese, but this species was never described. Pachylaelaps brachiosus Hirschmann & Krauss, 1965 may have been based on this specimen, but that has not been confirmed.
