Tetralobus cylindricus Laurent, 1965a: 674 [as in litteris name attributed to Buquet, nomen nudum]. Tetralobus dumolinii Hope, 1842: 76 [as in litteris name attributed to Dupont, nomen nudum].

Remark. Although T. dufouri was dedicated to L. J. M. Dufour, Candèze (1857, 1859) used the spelling dufourii . Gemminger & Harold (1869) corrected the spelling to dufouri and this spelling has been in use since then. We deem this to be the correct original spelling in application of Art. 33.3.1. of the Code (ICZN 1999).
