70. Notylia sylvestris Smith & Harris in Smith (1937: 35).
Type:— BRAZIL. Ceará: Pacatuba, Pacoti [“Pacoty”] River, road Fortaleza–Recife, 24 November 1935, R.E. Drouet 2717 (lectotype, designated here: AMES 76307!; holotype G not found) .
Notes: — Smith & Harris in Smith (1937) described N. sylvestris and indicated in the protologue the collection of the G herbarium; however, the material was located still preserved in the collection of the AMES herbarium and is thus designated as a lectotype. The name associated with the species is known only from the type specimen in the state of Ceará in Brazil, but it was neglected by Barros et al. (2015), and currently is not cited as occurring in Brazil (Flora e Funga do Brasil 2023).
