Notes: — Reichenbach (1881b) described N. laxa based on a specimen collected in Brazil and cultivated by Williams though without indicating the holotype or the herbarium where the deposit was made. The sample W-R 25012 is designated here as a lectotype. It is located in the author’s collection and has characteristics that agree with the information provided in the protologue.
