Current name: Boerhavia diffusa L. ( Nyctaginaceae).

Note: Boerhavia erecta L. was treated as the generitype of Boerhavia by Standley (in Contr. U. S. Natl. Herb. 12: 375. 1909). However, under Art. 10.5, Ex. 7 (a voted example) of the Vienna Code, this is a type choice made under the American Code and is to be replaced under Art. 10.5b by Hitchcock’s choice (Prop. Brit. Bot.: 115. 1929) of B. diffusa L.
