50. Syntypistis scensus (Schintlmeister, 1997) (new record for India)

Material examined. India: 1 ♂, Manipur, Ukhrul district, Shirui Hill (Site 2), 25.1236°N 94.4408°E, 2036 m, 24.VII.2019; 1 ♂, Shirui Hill (Site 3), 25.1171°N 94.4456°E, 2190 m, 24.VII.2019, genitalia slide no. 15.721; leg. JS Irungbam, coll. Schintlmeister A., Dresden, Germany .

Diagnosis. Forewing length 22-23.5 mm in males. The species slightly resembles externally with S. pryeri (Schintlmeister 2008: 171, fig. 762, pl. 17: 286), but differs in the forewing whose ground colour is fuscous grey rather than pale grey as in the latter two species and lacks postmedian fascia. The male genitalia are similar to S. pryeri, but differs by the shape of straight valve which is shorter and swollen shaped.
